Peony Masterclass - Wednesday 5th June 2019

145.00

Big, fragrant, fluffy Peonies - they and herald the start of summer in the garden. Their season is short. They are insanely beautiful and we just love everything about them.

Join me for a masterclass, devoted entirely to creating striking arrangements with our favourite flower of the season, the Peony. Using the finest seasonal flowers, Thomas will demonstrate how to condition these precious blooms to ensure optimal vase life, with helpful hints on how to encourage buds to open and the best varieties to use for flower arranging. Thomas will then demonstrate how to create a large vase using foam free mechanics to make your designs look effortless, embracing movement and visual balance. You will then create your own arrangement, using these glorious blowsy blooms, with a bounty of mixed, scented summer blooms and foliage.

The class will take place at our garden studio, where you will have the benefit of Thomas’ tuition, as he shares his knowledge of 10 years, working within the floristry industry.

Classes will run between 10am and 1:00pm on Wednesday 5th June 2019. The class includes all floral material and refreshments. Everything you create on the day can be taken home for further enjoyment and practice. All flowers will be seasonal and sourced from local growers and cutting gardens where possible. Any vessels used will be provided, along with scissors, cutting tools and aprons.

It is suggested that you bring a camera with you, to document your work for your portfolio. Scissors, Aprons and tools will be provided on the day

Prices are per person - this class is available for up to six participants.

This class is aimed at flower lovers of any skill level.
